Dr. Puzio has been my optometrist for more than half my life. He’s professional, kind, considerate, and well-versed in the field. Visits to him are like hanging out with a great friend who happens to be an excellent doctor. He takes time to make sure everything is covered regarding my eye health during appointments and readily returns phone calls and is great with scheduling. He also is the best at picking out good frames! I tell everyone I know in need of an eye doc to see him. I’m so grateful that twenty years ago he was r... read more
Dr. Puzio has been my optometrist for the past 12 years and I have to say he is by far the best optometrist in the area. He takes his time with each one of his patients, I never feel rushed. I read the other review regarding his services and I have to say I had the complete opposite experience. He actually worked with my insurance and myself so that I received the best price possible for his services.
He became hostile and belligerent when I told him the $80 service was covered under my insurance. Dr. Puzio is charming so he can be manipulative and over charge you. Seems it is not insurance fraud if he over charges the customer. His behavior is manipulative and I'm sorry my 20 year old daughter had to see a "professional" acting in such an aggressive manner. Absolutely unacceptable!
Called to schedule an appt for my daughter. Even though he accepted her insurance from her job, when he found out that she also had Medicaid for a mental disability, he would not take her on as a patient. He was worried that he would not be paid. Her employment insurance would have paid everything except $30 which she would have gladly paid. Talk about empathy for the mentally challenged. Worst attitude ever!! And why does he have to answer his own telephone, is he too cheap to pay a secretary
Business response:
Our office had accepted Medicaid Insurance for 20 years. I'm very sensitive to patient's with disabilities and special needs. I'm an unpaid consultant for the school district and exam children from families less fortunate throughout the year. I raised a brother with special needs and are well aware of the trials and tribulations in our society and I'm very empathetic to their need's. Please remind me of this conversation and I'll exam your daughter without charging you in the future if you like.
Literally the best optometrist I have ever had. I have been seeing eye professionals for 33 years, never have I had better vision and been treated as thoroughly and professionally. His focus on my specific visual issues and investigating my vision has led to the best sight I have ever had. He addressed things other doctors never considered. I can not recommend him enough. Not only a great doctor, but an honest and good person. Finally, he is really funny and good natured. In short, go to him.
Dr. Puzio is so genuine and caring for his patients - he is thorough and takes his time to learn all aspects of your visual problems. I am very grateful for the time, patience and caring that was extended to me. I am so glad to find a doctor who truly cares. I recommend him to everyone!!! Sandi Consul
My nine year old daughter has struggled in school, particularly reading, and was put into a special education program in January of 2016. A few months later, we went to Dr. Puzio, for a routine eye exam. Dr. Puzio had never met my family before, but he immediately noticed that my daughter tilted her head. He asked her why she tilted her head, if she was tires easily and if she get a lot of headaches. Dr. Puzio then asked me if she had any difficulties in school. I explained that it was thou
