UPDATE: This doctor literally helped save my life. I was misdiagnosed with a mental health condition that was later diagnosed as Complex PTSD. If you’ve read The Body Keeps the Score, you may understand how trauma can manifest in the body. For me, it resulted in development of an ecosystem of autoimmune disorders (I needed both legs and feet operated on at the time, and we didn’t understand why my body wasn’t healing). Dr. Montoya was one of the ONLY and FIRST doctors to actually listen to me and move forward with bilateral ... read more

Absolutely amazing doctor - knowledgeable, caring, and honestly just a fun dude to be around. He obviously cares about his patients and has helped me immensely. Would give him 10 stars if Google would allow it.

I had a foot ulcer unbeknownst to me and saw a foot specialist, dermatologist and a podiatrist (Dr. Raymond Montoya). I was a bit confused after seeing the foot specialist and dermatologist as to what I was really dealing with. After seeing the first two doctors my ski trip I had p... read more

They did an x-ray, confirmed there was ‘glass,’ and sent me to podiatry since it had been stuck in my foot for a while. That’s when I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Raymond R. Montoya. From the moment I walked into Northwestern Medical’s podiatry department, I knew I was in good hands. I was greeted by three ... read more

Dr. Montoya is one of the most thorough, kind and patient MDs I've ever worked with. He saw me as a first-time patient on Dec 23rd because he was heading out of town and didn't want me to be in pain over the holidays. He's now worked with me for over 18 months with the #1 objective of avoiding surgery while managing pain. Highly recommend.
