Dr. Shamos is far an away one of the most combative, insulting and least patient centric doctors I have come upon. I had a total of three appointments with him. The first was regarding pain in my right side. I had been hospitalized twice prior to being seen and knew that my gallbladder was an issue. By the time he had test ordered, I had to go to a different hospital to have my gallbladder removed in what became and emergency due to Dr. Shamos' lack of interest in clinical symptoms or prior testing. Dr. Shamos was amazing! My husband had a his gallbladder removed and we were blessed to find Dr. Shamos to do the surgery. It wasn't an easy surgery because his gallbladder was bad and wrapped around other organs. My husband would have been out of work a lot longer if it wasn't for this surgeon and taking the time and care that was needed. His assistant Tonya is wonderful as well. If you are looking for a surgeon this is the guy.
An excellent, excellent physician. I only have positive things to say.
