AWESOME! -- Dr Helms is down to earth, knowledgeable, and caring. He takes the time to explain things well. I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Helms has a wonderful bedside manner, is a straight-shooter, is very clear, and is very punctual. His staff is warm and friendly and a breath of fresh air.
2nd to none!
Dr Helms is an exceptionally intelligent, well-versed & well-informed, as well as extremely congenial, cardiac physician. He "knows his stuff" & conveys it to you in a way you can understand. He does not try to push surgical intervention before trying other approaches. I drove 50 miles just to see him. I literally begged to get an early appt & the staff were extremely helpful in getting me in. An OUTSTANDING doctor in his field. Highly recommend.
Doctor Helms is a very good doctor. I would recommend him. Unfortunately he has a terrible office staff you would have to deal with.... Renee and Susan....they're are aweful. Definitely shouldn't be working in the customer service field. Rude...Rude...Rude... Go elsewhere.
Very knowledgeable, and shows interest in the person sitting in his office, not just the patient! Always responsive to my questions and any concerns, and always explains the technicalities of what he is doing in terms that I can understand. I have complete trust in his judgement and skills. Dr. Helm's is very intelligent and still quite laid-back, (which further inspires my confidence in him!) Office staff have always been helpful, polite, and professional, whether in person or on phone.
Ray Helms is that rare physician who actually listens to you, answers your questions, and wants to be a partner in managing your health. I have complete confidence in his skills and judgment. Bonus: He's also a super personable human. I haven't felt this well in many years.
