An incredible waste of time and effort. I went to see him for ankle and arch pain and he didn't examine me at all. He told me to wear supportive shoes and wrote a "prescription" for a shoe store. Incredibly condescending and dismissive. I asked if I needed orthotics and he said he "didn't have a crystal ball." How about examining me to find out? Isn't that his job? I am not normally one to write negative reviews, but I was very disappointed in the treatment I received when I went to see Dr. Bolen. I am in my early 20s and have issues with bunions. I had already been experiencing chronic but moderate pain for months, and as a very active person, it felt very hard on me. I went in hoping for anything that could relieve the pain—insoles, exercises, correctors—literally anything. After the most horrible experience with Dr Mohammed at the West Van foot clinic on 18th and Marine, my elderly Mom saw Dr. Bolen today for the first time. He was patient, kind, helpful and skilled and she felt like it was a breath of fresh air to be treated with respect. Dr. Bolen also has amazing front desk staff!
