Dr. Sugino faced multiple challenges with treating my foot--a large, deep, & stubborn ulcer, bone spurs underlying the ulcer, tendon issues--all complicated by 4 to 9 daily walking miles on my job. With tremendous knowledge & skill, she assessed at each office visit whatever progress (or lapses) had occurred. She adjusted the treatment plan to better promote healing of the ulceration before risking surgical correction of the bone issue contributing to the ulcer's tenacity. After performing a cheilectomy, her post-surgical ev... read more

Dr. Raquel Sugino is a name anyone who has foot issues needs to know. I am diabetic with neuropathy in my feet, and after seeing another podiatrist to trim some calluses I was left with two open wounds, one on each foot. After many weeks of receiving wound care without any success of healing, I saw Dr. Sugino, and she told me immediately what needed to be done if I didn't want to have my toes amputated. She is knowledgeable in a surgery technique which was done as an outpatient and painless. Within 1 week of having this surg... read more

Dr Sugino, is a very professional surgeon and uses the best minimalist evasive surgery techniques. I have fought foot pain for years because the doctors I was going to did not know of the procedure that Dr Sugino used on my foot. She was able to trim the bone of my little toe and realign the bones so that I’m am pain free. Total down time about 4 weeks and after 6 weeks I’m pain free. I highly recommend Dr Sugino for anyone’s foot problems.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Sugino. For 3+ years I dealt with an open ulcer on the bottom of my foot. The physician I was going to tried numerous procedures throughout those years, but it continued to open back up, get deeper and larger and numerous infections throughout those years. I finally researched and found Dr. Sugino, whose expertise were foot ulcers. On the first meeting she confidently told me she could fix this. She set forth a plan getting rid of the infection, performing the right surgery for this ulcer, which includ... read more

Dr. Sugino was friendly and personable, but the overall approach felt limited in scope. I was hoping for a broader discussion of treatment options, and the recommendations focused narrowly on a single path. I also noticed inaccuracies in the visit summary that did not accurately reflect our discussion, which was concerning. This may be a good fit for patients comfortable with a straightforward, protocol-driven approach, but it was not the right fit for my needs.
