I feel the need to write a review for our amazing experience we had at Vail Health, and specifically the care we received from Dr. Viola. My partner suffered a late afternoon ski injury, landing on his left hand, which resulted in a spiral fracture of his radius and torn ligaments in the wrist. Dr. Viola was on call for their Orthopedics team and broke down the mechanics of the fracture, the two potential approaches to treatment, added him onto the schedule, and we went for surgery around 9:30pm that night. Dr. Randy Viola short review: world class doctor, laser focused on patient care and health, unquestionable expertise, research based, accessible by all. Caring, patient, meticulous, outstanding in his field. When an unexpected traumatic event occurs in your life, a lot is out of your control. While visiting Vail, Colorado for my mother’s 70th birthday, I was involved in a serious vehicle accident, and I was rushed to the Vail Health Hospital. I was immediately prepped for surgery as the hospital called in the on-call orthopedic surgeon for emergency surgery at 8:00PM. This surgeon was Dr. Viola. There are not enough words of Praise , Gratitude or Thanks that I can give Dr. Viola and his team for all that they did for me over the last 2 plus years. You see before I found Dr. Viola I had seen a Doctor who did a whole lot of damage to my elbow unnecessarily and that is being kind. I was not sure That Dr. Viola would even want to see me, as most Doctors don't like or want to take on case's where surgery has already been done by someone else.
