Dr Junius ver excellent when he do surgery and his staff is very excellent
I had partial knee replacement with Dr. Junius. I also had shoulder surgeries. He is an excellent doctor not only is he a good doctor, but has a great personality. I would highly recommend him for any surgery you need . Would not let any other orthopedic touch me.
Dr. Junius is not one to jump to surgery hoping to get you some relief. He will keep looking until he is sure about what is needed to relieve your pain. I can appreciate the fact that he will advise you to try another specialist to obtain another opinion as to the problem. I now have hope because the two doctors willingly shared their findings in order to allow me some relief!
Dr Junius performed Laparoscopic hip surgery. Great to have a young and informed surgeon that is up with all the latest procedures. Explains procedures that a lay person can understand.
I met with Dr Junius in 2013 after I fell in the city. He did an mri on my knee and advised me I had torn my meniscus. Surgery date and time was set and I arrived on time at the hospital. Dr Junius arrived 2 1/2 hrs late and I was his first patient. The nurse remarked he does this often. I had the surgery to repair my meniscus but the outcome wasn’t what I expected! His asset set me up for PT. Junius retd a month later to tell me that he removed my entire meniscus! Didn’t advise PT for this!

Staff at front desk poorly trained and Dr. is too busy to follow-up properly giving impression they are more interested in money than patient care. First question out of clerk's mouth was to ask if attorney had made appointment and that he should have sent prepayment for visit. If there is a medical equivalent to an ambulance chaser, Dr, Junius appears to be it. Suggest that there are many other orthopedists in New Orleans who will do as good a job with less hassle.

Dr Junius is a great surgeon but staffing and appointment scheduling are difficult and inflexible. I had a Fri AM appointment and called to "reschedule" at 5 pm the night before. I had already had someone take off of work weeks before for this AM appointment and they would not work with me on time. This was a surgery follow up! So much for patient care -- only care was the poor problem resolution.
I found his bedside manner great and more time was spent with me explaining my upcoming hip revision surgery and making me comfortable. Dr Junius will be my full time orthopod.
