During our interactions, we found Dr Tota’s bedside manner to be quite poor. On several occasions, both my brother and I felt that his tone came across as condescending. This stood out even more given that every other health professional we encountered at SJOG Murdoch demonstrated exceptional care, communicating with our mum with genuine compassion and respect. We believe it’s important for Dr Tota to reflect on his communication approach and consider how it may be perceived by patients and their families.

My father passed away from bone cancer. My mum was told whilst dad was in the bathroom in hospital that he was stage 4 and that he would need paliative care. Dad wanted one more chance to fight and try chemotherapy again. The response was that dad had to physically walk into his office, (not in a wheelchair), or he couldn;t have anymore. Dad just gave up. Dr Tota has no bedside manner or compassion

Has no Humanity he was treating my mum for chemo and she got a throat infection related to chemo we asked him twice to check my mums throat instead he told me go to your GP if he wanted he could have checked as he bacame a oncologist after his mbbs IF he had some humanity he could have checked my mum and advised some medication
