One star is for the office staff. They are very nice and professional. Zero star for Dr. Afghan. She does bare minimum. No questions at all to understand you as a person, very rude. Please find someone else.
Do not see this Doctor. The front office staff is beyond bizarre. I am a former patient unfortunately of Dr afghan and today was told I need to create a 16 letter password to enter the system and make an appointment.....this is beyond nonsense and I am not keeping track of 16 letter passwords. I called obviously frustrated that anyone would this this is acceptable and they offered a cancellation....this is ridiculous. What's next next year is it 32 letter passwords? 120 the year after that? Let try 2 factor authorization ins... read more
First off, the one star is for the front office staff. The ladies who answer phones, schedule appointments, and handle insurance information are amazing! For the year that I worked with this office, they were consistently helpful and remarkably kind! That said— With limited insurance options, I thought I’d overlook the ocean of negative reviews and try meeting with Dr. Afghan since she was 1) local and 2) some people had been positive about her ability to prescribe medications that helped them. Will make you wait two months to be seen and then cancel one day before your appointment. Horrible person!
She was downright rude and non compassionate in the most extreme way. She belittled me and cut me off when I voiced my concerns over past medications that I have taken. I was in tears after our brief appointment and I immediately found a new psychiatrist. She should not be in the business treating people with mental health issues. She will make you feel ashamed and self conscious about your mental health. I do not recommend her.
