Dr Donaldson skimmed over my records and gave me a diagnosis of FND and told me to talk to my psychiatrist. I have been being treated by my physiatrist for almost 6 or 7 years and she flat out said I did not have that diagnosis. I had a tilt table test done at another office and after the results came back she again told me that it was consistent with me being obese and out of shape. Seemed in a rush and was very dismissive of my concerns. Made me feel gaslighted. I have a background in clinical neuroscience and she was very condescending. After waiting months for appointment, the provider took 15 minutes to make a referral to a different specialist that has a wait list of 1 year. It was disrespectful to my time since I had previously called her office to see which specialist to see and they had advised me to see her.
I would encourage Dr Donaldson to google “functional neurological disorder” and educate herself on the condition.
For the past three weeks every day I have tried to call this office pertaining to my mother who has multiple sclerosis who has not had her medication in over a month, every time I call, I’m being kept on hold for hours. Today I was just left on hold for an hour and 36 minutes highly unacceptable the fact that this doctor has not even called to check on her to see how she’s feeling after not having her medication for over a month is UNREAL.
