Prior to scheduling my appointment I did login to my account for my vision insurance to make sure this place was in network. It did in fact say that it was in network. I scheduled the appointment a few weeks ago. When I arrived and provided my insurance info I was told they are not in network and they just haven’t updated that on their end yet… I wasted my only day off work in weeks and now I have to find another doctor’s office to schedule with. I am just doing this review to let everyone know what they can expect to be billed for a general eye exam without eyecare insurance. I had the eye exam on June 3, 2025. I was charged $368.00 for this exam. (I have never been charged anything remotely close to this amount for an exam) I asked the girl that did the billing if there were any discounts I possibly could have used or if she was aware of any discount programs, she simply said no. Disappointed in the professionalism with this office. Dr. Kay is quite nice and informative, but other staff didn't seem concerned about me or my needs. No phone call when glasses were ready to be picked up and when they were ready, it was here you go and have a good day! Thought for my $375 I would have a little more than this. Plus, the prescription is not perfect. My eyes were not right in the exam so the glasses in areas are worse. Won't be going back.
