Do not trust Dr. Polyxene Kokinos or the staff at South Bay Vascular Center & Vein Institute. I walked into this office in late October 2025 with very mild leg tiredness from sitting. I left with permanent, life-altering damage. Before the vein ablation procedure, they explicitly lied to me. They called the procedure "simple and generic" and promised me I would be running a marathon two weeks later and could backpack and ski with zero issues. I had a great experience at Dr Kokinos' office. Everything was incredibly efficient and well organized. Within one hour, I had my ultrasound completed, received the results, and met with the doctor for a consultation. The doctor clearly and effectively explained the ultrasound findings and walked me through my treatment options in a way that was easy to understand. I felt informed, reassured, and well cared for throughout the entire visit. Highly recommend — five stars!
Dr. Polly is fabulous! Extremely professional and knowledgeable. Very caring and kind. Takes all the time needed to evaluate and explain clearly in an understandable manner. Very focused. The front office took care of all my insurance needs and questions.
