I have multiple issues with my lower back. After physical therapy, tenz therapy, 4 epideral injections in 3 months, I finally went to see Dr. Piechal, all I can say is I am so grateful to him. I have been seeing him for a little over a year now and the days I have pain have decreased immensely. He listens and actually cares about his patients and helps them to live better.
I have 2 friends on disability who go to.Dr Piechal. I go visit them bc its hard for them to grtbout, so I go run errands in town for them and also go out thete to do their hair, as I am a xosmetologist. One day, the doc even rode his bike all the way out to their home to check on them and encourage them to get some exercise. He made a wonderful impression on me, and they both ADORE him. 8/10/11 My husband saw the doctor (I use this term loosely). On his way home with perscriptions he got a call from the office that he had the wrong perscriptions...not his name...not his file...the doctor had the files mixed up! Can you believe it. So Brad and Tracy are interchangable? Really! That is a law suit waiting to happen and I may file it.
I dont think you people writing on here have ever even met Dr. Piechal. TRUE...he treats patients with DRUGS like OPIATES. HES a pain specialist. Thats just stupid. What do you think hes supposed to treat pain with?? Aspirin??? This man has been MY doctor for 3 years. He is not the typical doctor. He treats patients with SERIOUS PAIN. Dr. Piechal "treated" my daughter with opiates which is not exactly what she was looking for long term to relieve the severe pain of her disease. She wanted to be referred to surgery or physical therapy but he kept increasing the opiates until she became addicted, and when she complained about what we didnt know were the side affects of the drugs, he just increased the dosage some more until she ended up in the hospital for a week. If you want "drugs"...hes the guy to go to. He has quite a business going because of it.
As I read these reviews, I see a common thread in the complaints; patients are going into the office blindly following directions. Please remember, this man is NOT a diagnostician! If you are in pain, his job is to perscribe meds! You must go to this Dr. well informed about your condition, and if you feel he is giving you too much or the wrong thing, TELL him! I am a middle aged insulin depedent diabetic. This doctor is the very best I have ever had , except for my gynecologist. Dr. Piechal knows his stuff, knows meds to precribe, is fast, thorough, doesnt waste time. The first time I saw him, about 5 years ago, I was SO relieved to have finally met a doc who can get right to the problem without a bunch of tests. He has never failed me in his medical knowledge.
Dr. Piechal is very good, but his receptionist and office manager treated me extremely rudely. They refused to file benefits with my new insurance because it was a new policy under the same company, and his front office staff were adamant the benefits were the same. They said they had already placed my one allotted monthly call to my insurance company, and they refused to call again. It was absurdly ridiculous, and I will not be going back.
Dr. Piechal was the rudest doctor I have ever seen. He was also the most unprofessional doctor I have ever seen. Please believe the bad reviews. You do not want to waste your time and money going to him. It will be a very bad experience.
