The absolute worst PCP that gaslights her patients. Does not listen to patient feedback at all and will completely ignore your concerns. I could not have possibly had a worst experience. Worst of all, she has a terrible attitude and will make you feel judged, not listened to. Why would I spend money to be scoffed at. I had fertility concerns and she made me feel so small at a time when I needed support and compassion the most. NEVER will I go back to her again. Dr. Basu listens, encourages, orders tests, and is very competent, treating me as a whole person. The team at her group are also great. When I have needed to be immediately seen each other doc or nurse/PA has been great.
I don't write reviews very often, but I feel compelled in this case. Dr Basu was my PCP, but she was dismissive, abrasive and worst of all, gaslights her patients. I brought up concerns and she made me feel like I was crazy. Nobody deserves to be treated that way during vulnerable times. She also wrote down things in my chart that would undermine my concerns in the future when meeting with other doctors. She made me so uncomfortable that I left the UCSF system and went to Sutter instead. She shouldn't be allowed to practice.... read more
This is the third PCP I have seen at UCSF and the last. She doesn't care about patients, refuses to call a patient back and treats patient like dirt. She has a better than thou attitude and believes that she is some kind of God. I wouldn't even bother going to UCSF as I find their level of care far below par.
