Arrived at 11:25 for my 11:30 appointment. At 12pm they called 6 people to go to the back, 3 of the patients came after I did and I was the only patient left in the waiting area. Was told they over booked and will be with me soon. I decided to leave and find another doctor. I felt like I was discriminated since I was the only black patient and I didn’t want to wait another hour unnecessarily.
Great doctor! The best! I have been his patient for many years, he is dedicated and qualified. Fantastic. I would go to the end of the world for his care. His medical staff is also excellent. Today Sept 28, 2023 I have to add that Dr. KEMPF retired just a few days ago. To me it was a real blow, as he has been for me sort of a savior. I've been with Dr Kempf for over 23 years. I don't live close to his office but I make the trip because not only is he a pleasant human being but he takes time to understand you and your condition and applies the best care available.
Wanted to share another update from my last review. When I saw this doctor I saw an assistant who downplayed all of my symptoms and told me all of my results (including a positive ANA plus other high inflammation markers) were because of a UTI. They didn’t do nearly enough testing to rule out everything. I went to another rheumatologist who did extensive ANA testing on me, and has diagnosed me with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, and sine sclerosis, a rare form of scleroderma that creates thick skin on my organs and in worse case s... read more
