The surgical outcome itself went well, but the interaction with Peter during the post-op follow-up felt unprofessional and dismissive. When I asked a question about a concern, he responded that they “can’t handle that here” and followed it up with a comment like “well don’t you have a doctor?” which came across as sarcastic rather than helpful. If I could give Dr. Zimmer 10 stars I would in a heartbeat. He is an Amazing surgeon with a bedside manner to match. This man in incredibly intelligent and so caring. We cannot THANK him enough for the INCREDIBLE care that was given to us! Aimee and Destry Forcum
Dr. Zimmer performed emergency surgery around two weeks ago. I thought he was extremely knowledgeable, competent and answered my questions! I felt very blessed that he was the one on call when I had the emergency! Hope I do not have to have surgery ever again, but if I do, I will go to Dr Zimmer!
Run. He did not use mesh for my hernia repair. It failed less than two months after surgery and I had to have it redone. He said he thought the repair "would last a little bit longer" and then asked if I wanted to schedule another surgery. No thanks. I'll go to someone that does it correctly the first time.
