Dr Schwarz has performed several ERCP procedures on me, some wit stent placements and removals over the last two years. He is not my primary gastroenterologist, which worried me at first. But he has ALWAYS made me feel like I was his ONLY patient everytime. He talks to me before procedures are started, putting me at ease that he remembers me, even though I know he so many patients see daily. I was admitted to the Methodist Hospital ER (Houston, Texas Medical Center) late Friday night following significant blood loss when I thought I had diarrhea. Had great service and then emergency colonoscopy, cat scan, x-ray...you name it. Dr. Schwarz was diligent, asked a lot of questions, and gave me significant confidence in what was going on. Very easy to talk to. Compassionate. Pleased with him all around
He did a colonoscopy with biopsies. He does not use Methodist IChart so I requested the office send me a copy for my files. I had concerns about the path report, called his office twice requesting consultation and never heard back from him. Saw another GI in an emergency who saw the path and put me immediately on a medication that resolved the symptoms.
He doesn't want to hear what you have to say .
Both my husband and I have been patients of P J Schwarz for several years. He is professional and knowledgeable. Appreciate him and his staff.
Staff states he is not affiliated with Methodist Hospital. His website page clearly states he is. He uses his own patient portal not Methodist Mychart were all your other doctors can see what he is doing. His staff is not truthful with billing nor insurance payments. Staff states they spoke with insurance co and are told, you have to pay towards your deductible on top of your copay an any bill they say you owe even for regular office visit. Always courteous, professional, and thorough. Staff is also very patient friendly.
