I was referred to Surgeon Paul Saiz through the Veterans Administration system. I had to wait a year and a half for the appointment. I had fractured my spine according to Sierra Vista Hospital in Truth or Consequences, NM. I was in the room when Dr. Saiz came in abruptly and said “I’m not going to give you pain medications and I’m not going to operate on you.” The way in which he came across took me aback.
