I’m very surprised to read these not so good reviews of Dr Paul Schell. I have been seeing Dr Schell along with many of my friends since I moved to NJ in 1987 and have always found him to be very patient, kind and understanding. He came highly recommended to me and was very happy to have chosen him to be my gynecologist. I felt like I was on candid camera. He was unprofessional, bad bedside manner. I wasn't sure if he was serious or just making bad jokes,either way it was in poor taste. I was chastised because I drink Diet Coke. That is what he talked about the entire time. I didn't feel comfortable with him and almost felt like he was shaming me at times. I will request another Dr.

I saw Dr. Schell today for the first time. His bedside manner is probably the worst I’ve ever encountered. He makes comments that are inappropriate and is not empathetic to your situation. He does not offer suggestions, but simply puts you down. He stated on two occasions that I deserved a UTI if I did not already have one among other things that were completely unethica and totally inappropriate. I would not recommend him to anyone and furthermore, I will report his lack of medical care to the head of the practice.

Shell made inappropriate comments that made me feel uncomfortable even allowing him to examine me. I believe it even made the assistant uncomfortable. I've let the office know that I will see anyone , but him. The practice is otherwise incredible. They should discontinue their association.
