Hello, I feel I need to share my story as well. I had laparoscopic gall bladder removal by this surgeon many years ago. 3 days after surgery I went to the er in EXCRUCIATING PAIN. I also had a bile leak. I had a stent placement which was also not done properly and caused me to have pancreatitis and was admitted for 12 days at mercy Folsom. Don’t know about the previous review however, my experience was extremely positive. I never waited more than 2-5 minutes to be seen. The staff was always professional, courteous, and understanding. Dr. O’malley is a straight forward doctor who tells you how it is and provides you the best options for your case. He took his time to explain everything from injury, procedures, post care etc. and left no stone unturned leading up to surgery. Sat in his office 45 min past my appointment. Listened to him gripe about his schedule in the next room on the phone. I left without being seen. Complete lack of respect or consideration of others time. Finding another doctor.
Dr Patrick O’Malley walked into the room when the sepsis had set in from another surgeon’s error and said, “I’ve got you.” He repaired a massive bile leak, put in penrose drains, and checked on me everyday. I ended up with fungal peritonitis & sepsis before I got to him and he saved my life in a late night emergency exploratory laparotomy.
