I really liked the ease of scheduling and all the staff in the office were nice and helpful. The doctor just doesn’t really seem to have a good bedside manner and was very pushy about certain things that contradicted what I’ve heard from other GI doctors. I definitely believe he is knowledgeable, but I didn’t appreciate not being able to ask my all my questions or address my concerns and being dismissed basically. Concise and frank. What I'm always looking for in a physician!
Dr. Kamat has been my doctor since I moved to Atlanta, and always provides exemplary care, with kindness and good humor. As someone at high risk for many types of cancer (Lynch positive) I depend on my health care providers to help keep me on track with the latest screenings available. Thanks to Dr. Kamut's diligent care, my cancer was caught very early, and was easily treatable. I will forever be greatful to him for that!
New patients beware! Here's my story - I set up an appointment w/ Dr. Kamat due to severe abdominal pains. He took me on as a new patient, but didn't communicate he was leaving for an extended vacation. Started me on medication, which had bad side effects. Called his office to discuss and couldn't get an answer except for "He's on vacation, we don't know." After 7 days, they finally confirmed E. Coli. Dr. Kamat is the first doctor I've seen who is trying to find a solution to my problem. He's very patient and understanding. The staff is very polite and efficient in their work!
The staff were very nice and the process was fast I was in and out in no time
