I went to Dr. Pinkston after several other rheumatologist in Louisville. I had pretty much given up. I had resided myself to the fact that I was just gonna be sick. I couldn’t eat without vomiting or being in horrible pain. I couldn’t function without steroids and my entire body hurting. I’m not being dramatic when I say I wondered if I would survive. I have been a patient of Dr. Pinkston’s for several years now. I originally met Dr. Pinkston when she was with one of the local hospital systems. I was excited to hear that she left the “Corporate Medicine” model—which looks at patients as dollar signs on a financial spreadsheet—for a patient-focused model that allows her to build relationships and rapport with her patients and really gets to know them and their health challenges.
