I’ve been seeing Dr. Mamedov for possible sleep apnea, and I truly feel seen and heard by him. During my most recent appointment he commented that many doctors would tell you to lose weight to resolve sleep apnea, but that sleep apnea makes it really hard to lose weight due to a lack of energy. This was so refreshing to hear from a doctor, because many doctors do not recognize that medical issues can just worsen weight gain and that recommending the patient lose weight isn’t very helpful. Dr. Mamedov set me up with a CPAP machine and after using it for 4 months I got a letter from the insurance company saying they were denying further coverage because they hadn't received information from the doctor. I had done everything necessary for coverage but he had not. I called his office and they sent him an email with info on what he needed to do and he didn't do it.
