Dr. Nate Kleinfeldt is a top notch eye surgeon. He performed my cataract surgery flawlessly. I have 20/20 vision after surgery. The results are truly life changing. I would recommend Dr. Kleinfeldt to my dearest family members and anyone considering cataract surgery.
I realize surgery can go wrong, as I was told, it happens to 2% or so of the people who have cataract surgery. I was one of the 2%. Dr. Kleinfeldt removed most of the cataract but was unable to replace the lens so I was immediately seen by the Retina specialist in the office. Neither I or my husband were contacted by Dr. Kleinfeldt after the surgery to explain what had gone wrong or to give us a prognosis, he never talked to us again after the surgery. There were waits along the way, but none were extreme. All my questions were answered and the testing and exams went smoothly and were informative. If my schedule had allowed it, I could have had my cataract surgery within 3 days of my visit with Dr. Kleinfeldt. I would be comfortable referring friends and family to him for care.
I had my initial appointment for cataract surgery evaluation at the OSM. Dearborn office. The staff is professional, friendly and most importantly, very knowledgeable. Dr. Klienfeldt was friendly, direct and professional, which I appreciate. I am not looking for a new BFF just a knowledgeable, skilled Doctor. I will update after my surgery.

It has been the worst experience ever. I had both cataracts removed. Dr. Kleinfeldt spent probably five minutes with me prior to each surgery. After the surgery was worse. I had trouble with the second eye. Two doctors in his office saw the problem, I had a second and third opinion from other eye doctors who saw the "mistake" immediately. When I demanded to finally see Dr. Kleinfeldt, he spent another five minutes with me and said "Nothing is wrong with your lens". Dr. Kleinfeldt was recommended by my optometrist as one of the best ophthalmology specialists in the area. Dr. Kleinfeldt performed me cataract surgery on my left eye. Before he did, I could not see traffic signal colors, street signs, and other needed signage for safe driving. Now my vision is bright and clear. I saw him today and that eye has 20/20 vision.
