My experience with Nurse Practitioner Booker was exactly what you should expect from a compassionate, experienced, and thorough practitioner. It is my opinion she is a godsend for the practice. There were issues with Dr Bawa’s practice before but because N. P. Booker is there I will remain a patient.
My wait time was about 10 minutes. The office was well equipped for the Coronavirus, with screening questions on the door. If necessary they will come out to the car. Also, he is using TeleMed to see patients at their home. I highly recommend him.
My experience with Dr. Bawa's nurse practitioner, Brittany was excellent. She demonstrated compassion and understanding of my problem and upon reviewing my CT scan recommended that I see a cardiologist. After my visiti the staff was not efficient. After getting the cardiologist approved by my insurance, the cardiologist needed the records faxed to his office. Where do I even begin? It’s hard to pick a single event to write about. I’ll first mention that any appointment at the Destin location will end up as a 3-4 HOUR event. Every time. It would be one thing if it was an every now and then occurrence, as these things happen; but it was every single appointment. At one appointment, I was even forgotten about inside the clinic room and was told that my chart had been “filed wrong”, so they thought I had left already. Dr. Bawa is amazing. He genuinely cares about his patient’s well being. I have a rare disease and he researched it and found a way to treat my symptoms to make every day life tolerable. He is a blessing.
Two out three prescriptions he wrote were incomplete or incorrect and had to be corrected. I began having side effects to hormone cream and left 6 messages over a two week period for a return call as to how to proceed and NEVER RECEIVED A PHONE CALL BACK, so I had to quit taking the hormone protocol or walk around with acne and a mustache (I'm a middle aged woman). I do not have insurance and really wanted to get on top of my health, so terribly sorry I wasted my time and money on a doctor who won't even return my phone call... read more
Unfortunately I had to cancel my appointment because I'm unable to pay the $150.00 "prescription fee" for my hormone medicine. I was totally blown away when I was informed that I could no longer get my prescription from Dr. Bawa's office without paying this outrageous fee. It's obvious that Dr. Bawa isn't in his profession to help people but for the almighty buck! NOT the type of doctor's office I want to deal with anymore.
He is extremely professional and thorough. He never rushes and explains everything so that you understand exactly what is going on. There is never any misunderstanding which I truly appreciate
