We were very lucky that Dr. Slimack was on call in the hospital when my husband was admitted to ER. After an MRI, CT Scans, my husband was in surgery that night with Dr. Slimack. Dr. Slimack explained everything in visual and simple terminology and made us feel very comfortable. Definitely a 5*****
Dr. Slimack & his staff were were excellent in providing care for their clients. He is very knowledgeable, professional & made me feel very comfortable in explaining my surgery. I was able to ask any questions & had an excellent follow up care from his nurse practitioner

Dr. Nick Slimack is probably one of the best neurosurgeons in the country. I have had the unfortunate luck of needing neurosurgeons in 3 different states. The communities of SLO/Santa Barbara counties are lucky to have him. Slimack did my lower back fusion right above my 1st lower back fusion (L4-5 S1) which was done in CO in 2004. My mother needed a disc procedure at Marion and Dr. Slimack was attentive, thorough and patient as he explained the procedure and answered all my family's questions.

I waited 2 months to see him. An hour before my appointment I got a call from his staff and they said he would not be in this afternoon no explanation on what happened they said they would call and give me a new appointment that was 2 days ago.
Dr Slimack saved my sons life. He took on my son after a bad motorcycle accident against all odds. I will always remember him. He also was very kind to me and very concerned about my well being, and the survival of my son. I cant say enough good things..... except, thank you Nicholas!
Horrible front office scheduled my surgery and then told me 2 days before surgery that they never scheduled me. In April he said I needed surgery in July he said he wasn't sure if it would help me or hinder me further. I asked him 4 times if he wanted to do my surgery or not and he avoided the question each time. Do not go to this office . Terrible back office as well
My experience was wonderful I have never met a more caring and knowledgeable Doctor I needed major neck surgery and was at ease knowing Dr slimack was taking care of me I can not thank Dr slimack and his wonderful staff for everything They deserve all 5 stars hands down
