Prior to our recent encounters with our mother’s cardiologist, we sang the praises of UTSW. We have been so very grateful for the care and competence of the UTSW healthcare and ancillary teams - from valet to the physicians handling her care. Unfortunately, her cardiologist, Neena Passi, has changed our opinion of her - not UTSW. And she is the sole reason for this one-star rating. A few weeks ago our mother visited Dr. Passi and complained of swelling and pain in one of her legs. Passi simply told her to elevate it. Shortly... read more

I have received nothing but top-level support from the doctor and nurses. They truly seem to care about their patients. After each visit, I even received calls on weekends and holidays to check on me, which meant a lot. I drive all the way from the Texarkana area to Dallas for their care, and it is absolutely worth it.

This hospital is awful! Every time I have tried to book an appointment with doctor here the only dates they have is 6 months to year out to see a doctor! They will also reschedule your appointment without your permission! This hospital needs to learn from Houston Methodist and MD Anderson on how to operate and prioritize patients! Or hire more doctors to take care patients! This hospital should not be world renowned for what they don’t have time to even help patients!

After painful and scarring from implants and the knowledge that I would need to continue to change them out as I aged, I wanted an implant-free option but didn’t know how to get there. Did my research, met with Haddock, and he knew immediately that the only viable options was the LAP flap—a highly technical microsurgery that wasn’t available when I had my last surger... read more

They do not believe in pain control, at all, they have an actively hostile bedside manner, and they ignore all labs and patient reports of something being wrong. Pretty much right from waking up, I was in 8+ pain, involuntarily squirming and kicking constantly from the level of pain. Between delays putting orders in, needing separate approval from pharmacy, extreme conservatism in dosing, and generally not caring, over the next 6 hours of that level of pain, they managed a single hour of pain control. Every other hour was 6-... read more
