My experience with Dr. Nia and his supporting staff has been a total pleasure. I find them to be very professional and pleasant to talk too. Dr. Nia preformed Cataract surgery on my right eye a week ago with no complications and no pain. I'm looking forward to getting my left eye done in 3 weeks. I would be happy to refer Dr. Nia to my family and friends.
My daughter had to have laser surgery on her eye to fix a hole in her retina. She was not told that she would have any pain during the treatment and he yelled at her and threatened her with an appointment in Toronto if she didn’t stop moving. My daughter is almost 27 years old and is a nurse as am I. No one should be yelling or threatening any patient! Where is the empathy? I recently had cataract surgery by Dr. Nia, carried out at Huntsville Hospital. The entire experience from the first appointment to the follow up has been amazing and the world is a new place for me. After wearing glasses from the age of ten I'm amazed that the world is so much brighter, colours more saturated and beautiful, and everything is so sharp and clear. Having been a patient there for some time. Usually I am not pleased with the wait time sometimes was more than 2 hours. Today I was in and out in 37 minutes! The young lady that looked after me (don't know her name) was AMAZING and very friendly. That made my experience today a good one
I am having my first cataract surgery done in a week. Everything leading up to this point has been thorough and time was taken to explain everything, including my options on lenses. Before I could begin Dr. Nia sent me to a specialist in the TO area to have lesions removed from my eyes first. Once again a great experience and no complaints.
