He was hardly involved in setting up my surgical plan … then cut my spinal cord and went on vacation with an hour it started leaking out on to the floor a day later because it was so bad and he was called and said he would be back in a couple days and fix it then …. I also have a bleeding disorder and he told the pain clinic to send me home and take ibuprofen which I’m not supposed to take

I think he has good surgical skills however I had complications ie pulmonary embolism that might have been avoided if he had listened to my concerns about swollen feet and ankles. I was not given a blood thinner upon release from the hospital. I also feel like I was rushed to make a decision on surgery the same day we reviewed my MRI results. I was never told about adjacent disc disease or the life expectancy of a fusion. My guess is he figured I was 70 at the time of surgery so it wasn’t relevant. I would not recommend Nova... read more

One of the worst doctors I’ve ever seen. Couldn’t bother to read my first MRI or spend more than 5 minutes explaining results to me.

I saw Dr. Baldwin in 2013. I had severe weakness in my legs and both feet. Pain in back and sciatica. After a laminectomy of L4 and L5 I had feeling and strength restored in my legs and feet. Post surgery I was sore but quickly got off pain meds. Now in 2019 I can say the excellent care from Dr. Baldwin restored a quality of life I would not have had. I have some weakness in the back and use some acetaminophen. I have gained weight since the surgery and blame the pain mostly on the 35 lb. weight gain.

Dr. Baldwin is highly recommended by me. His bedside manner is excellence and he really cares how his patience is doing, and not just faking like most doctors do after they have performed the surgery on you. Haymarket, staff took really good care of me and made the right decisions to push to get me out of the bed to walk and stand, after surgery. All and all it was painful, but a positive and helpful experience, thanks to the staff and the doctor that treated me.

A few months ago my husband went to him Ibecause he was in such pain with his lower back he had an MRI disk for you to look at and I don't think he really saw it because when I asked what he thought about the disk he hesitated and then said oh it just shows arthritis. I really don't think he even looked at it he didn't even have it with him on a little lap top and when he gave him his therapy prescription his birthday was wrong on it. My husband ended up having a rhizotomy done and now is ok

When I broke my back in 2003, the first 3 doctors said I would never walk. Dr Baldwin said I would walk the day of the surgery. I did and still do. My daily activity is not affected by my back in anyway and I often forget I ever broke it. I walk because of Dr Baldwin.

He spent a total of 1 minute listening to me and then referred me to pain management. I have multiple disc problems and a fracture. I wasted my time seeing him. He didn’t go over my MRI with us or anything. Will not recommend

When I first saw Dr. Baldwin, I was in tremendous pain and was experiencing numbness from my lower back down both legs. Epidural injections were only effective for a few weeks. Dr. Baldwin clearly explained my condition and we agreed surgery was my only option. After surgery and recovery, I have remained pain free and the numbness has never returned. Dr. Baldwin and staff have been great to work with and have always answered my questions and been supportive. I highly recommend Dr. Baldwin.
