I will try my best to be fair and succinct in this review. I have now been a patient for over 5 years at this office. On my initial call to them, I made it very clear that I wanted to be a patient of one dentist and one hygienist. I was told that would not be a problem. I originally met with Nathan Tillman. I recently visited Dr. Tillman’s office for my annual cleaning. My previous visit had been in July. When I returned in January, the front desk asked if I still had the same insurance. I told them yes—I have BCBS—so I didn’t think anything of it. After my cleaning, the dentist found an old filling from childhood that needed to be replaced. I haven’t had a filling in over 20 years. Year-round residents of Newport, RI always have to beware of shady business owners in town that want to sell substandard goods and services at a premium price; if this is what you enjoy, then patronize this business. Lazy service, poor dentistry work, ethical standards of care, questionable billing, and more are at Tillman’s office. True story. Oh my goodness what a great visit I had today! I had my new patient exam and cleaning and Carla was my hygienist She is kind, professional, sweet, caring and thorough! I was checked out by Kevin who is constantly warm and friendly- no matter how many tasks he is doing! 05/23/2023 update: I want to make sure that I remain fair, but honest. I have now been to this practice 6 times and I have seen four different dentists. I called as a new patient and asked specifically to be seen by dr Tillman.
