My first visit and I’m happy with my choice! Dr. Alkhouri and Julia were very friendly and informative, along with the rest of the staff. They even got me in a few days early! I felt safe and supported here.
Excellent doctor, listens to everything you say unlike many doctors nowdays. He doesn't have a better than thou complex, treats you with respect and talks with you not at you. He will not beat around the bush he will tell you what he thinks in a calm way that helps you understand everything rather than being more confused. I have had appointments with Dr. Alkhouri that have lasted an unbelievable 60 seconds. When my condition deteriorated Dr. Alkhouri would not order new labs stating that my tests from 3 months prior were normal. I had my primary order new labs.
I am really impressed with Dr. Alkhouri and his knowledge about the liver ! I am also , so grateful that I was able to be a patient of his, I need a liver transplant and have complete Trust in Dr. Alkhouri . I recommend him or all of the competent doctors with Texas Liver Institute !
He explains your disease in terms you understand and will not leave anything out . He has told me the real facts about my stage 4 cirrhosis and even set me up for some research they are doing for "Tumor Markers" in my blood. This reassured me that he has taken a true interest in helping me . He is a FINE doctor !
