I absolutely did not receive the basic level of care someone would hope for from a doctor. I was referred to Dr.Brotman with little choice because I was risking out of a birth center right before I was due to give birth. I think Brotman was under the impression they were being low intervention but was gross negligence. I was given poor advice on how to handle my pre-eclampsia prior to birth, was never given the chance to communicate my birth plan to Brotman. Before the office closed, Dr Brotman was seeing me at 4 months pregnant. She led me on saying she was having trouble with my health insurance but she will get back at me once they resolve it. I learned at 6 months pregnant she was being charge with insurance fraud which suspended her medical license. I did not want to see a midwife because it was my first pregnancy so I had to rush to find a new doctor. It was not an easy task to find another doctor because many did not want to take me in because I was too far along with my ... read more
