Dr. Omey is a wonderful surgeon, kind, fair and very knowledgeable. I have enjoyed every visit with her and her bedside manner is unparalleled. That having been said, after my injury every post op visit went well. I would pay $100.00 every visit with the exception of having only paid $70.00 one visit. I do not usually fill these out, but after reading some of the other reviews, it is hard to believe we are talking about the same physician. My injuries were significant and it was her skill alone that resulted in a complete recovery. I would return to her for any orthopedic needs that may arise in the future and if anything ever happened to anyone in my family that required orthopedic surgery, Dr. Omay would be my only choice.

Dr. Omey did my surgery 2 weeks ago for a meniscus tear. Today I got my stitches out and can return to work tomorrow! I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Monica Omey and her staff. I'm so grateful to her. I was in alot of pain before, but she set things right again in my knee. Thank you, Dr. Omey! You're a wonderful doctor!
She did a good job with a simple surgery. There is a gentleman working here who is very sweet & comforting- more so than Dr Omey herself. Eveything else was a miss. The woman at the front desk was always very rude. Time with Omey was short & I waited over an hr for a scheduled appt. she prescribed me tramadol after my surgery- which I am EXTREMELY ALLERGIC to. Are charts not important? Insurance didn't cover costs & when I asked why, front desk lady says, "Well I don't know it's YOUR insurance"

Dr. Omey reconstructed my toes, foot and ankle. My tibia was broken at knee and compounded at ankle. Dr. Omey and my plastic surgeon, Dr. Max Peckerov, saved my foot. I only tost two toes. Not only is she a great ortho, she listens to you, makes you feel comfortable and cares.

The office did not bill my insurance in the required 60 days (billed it over 90 days after seeing Dr. Omey); therefore, the insurance did not pay. They billed me for the amount, which I refused to pay, since they bill the insurance and were at fault for not billing in a timely manner. I asked for the financial agreement 3 times that states they if they fail to bill properly and timely, I would have to pay the remainder amount. It was never provided and they've now put a lien on my home. Shame!

So sorry for your outcome. Unfortunately infection can occur with any surgery and is not always avoidable, though all precautions are taken.
This Dr. Completely dropped the ball after doing a torn ACL repair surgery. Refused to order a CPM machine... did not want this 17 year old to have the circulating ice machine all other ACL patients get. Would not order any PT post -op. This has been a nightmare for the entire family. Stay away from this one! She is very mean and has no regard for her patients.

So sorry things didn't go the way you thought they would. I did personally speak with her physical therapist a couple of times. Every doctor has a different post-op ACL protocol. Hope she's doing well.
