Dr. Merchea has told my family doctor that he will no longer see me because I was rude to his temporary secretary. That’s fine with me, as I wasn’t at all impressed with the service anyway and I had stated that I was considering finding someone else. During the pandemic, I cancelled an appointment because I was not comfortable going into a hospital at that time. I was happy with Dr. Merchea. Reading the reviews I was a bit worried before the visit, but my personal experience was very good. I had an eye infection that lasted for two years. My family doctor prescribed some topical treatment that kept it at bay, but did not cure it. Dr. Merchea treatment took care of it completely (it's been several months now without any issues). Extremely rude and dismissive.
I had a diagnosis before seeing him and I wanted to thoroughly talk it over. Yet he kept getting defensive and wouldn't let me tell him what I've already been through. Not at all professional. All I went in for was a stye/chalazion. Highly not recommended
