Very kind and knowledgeable
My husband had been diagnosed on July 24, 2023 of stage 3b NSCLC. We received the call from the Pulmonologist with the pathology report. Not good news, not operable and not curable. We need to seek out a Oncologist. We did and Dr. Tummala is amaizing. His professionalism, positivity and kindness made us feel secure and gave us so much confidence to fight my husband's cancer. Honestly, the moment the 'C' word entered the conversation with my primary care, my blood ran cold, and fear settled in. But from my first meeting with Dr Tummala and his staff, my fears subsided and were replaced with confidence. They worked hard to get me a smooth and quick path to recovery, and then led me down that path while keeping me informed and comfortable along the way. I requested for my Dad to be moved to hospice care 2 weeks ago. Instead of doing that Dr. Tammula said he was not ready for hospice and continued with useless Chemo when my Dads pancreatic cancer wasn’t even found until end stage. Today we have hospice care only after sitting in a stale Emergency room for 15 hours and a dr who had met my dad one time put us on hospice immediately!
