Referred to Dr. Mitchell from the ER for a shoulder injury. He insisted it was tendenitis, before examining me, without an MRI, by showing me his Google search on the computer. He admitted he couldn't rule out other possibilities without an MRI. Then his med student evaluated me. Doctor comes back and gives me a steroid injection. He is always 6 feet out the door before he finishes his last sentence and has complete contempt for patients who speak. Needs more training from this century. Have seen Mitch for 35 years . My young son too. He is brilliant. His beside manner is rough , but he is focused on solving and treating your medical problem. Not to make nice conversation.
Don’t go to this doctor under ANY circumstances. SHORT ANSWER: Stay safe, stay away. Call your primary care doctor for a referral for an orthopedic doctor/surgeon who cares about patients and is both up to date and competent. He is none of those things regardless of his on paper qualifications. The negative experiences in all the reviews are just what happened to us. Dr. Goldflies never actually met with me throughout multiple visits, and he provided me with incorrect information based on my MRI. Simply put, he doesn't seem to care all that much on an individual patient level. If you have a choice, I would recommend you look for another doctor who will at least pretend to care about you.
I injured my knee playing sports and went to see Dr. Goldflies. He himself never actually met with me throughout multiple visits, which I found odd, but didn't think much of it at the time as his colleagues were pleasant, and I trusted the information they were relaying to me from Dr. Goldflies. After I had an X-Ray and MRI, Dr. Goldflies misdiagnosed my injury, saying there was no ligament damage and that I just needed to do PT for a few months.
