Dr. Fhurman is a great, professional, competent, and caring doctor.
EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT is all I have to say about my girl! I've been a patient of hers for around 4, 5 or maybe more years now and I'm totally satisfied! She's highly educated in her field, extremely friendly and has lowered my eye pressure, and for that, I'm truly grateful! Her staff is EXCELLENT as well! She's what I consider 'ONE OF THE OLD MOHEGANS',(KNOWS HER CRAFT ALL TO WELL) and it's going to be hard finding another great Dr. like her, if she ever retires!
I would give 0 stars (but minimum is 1 on this scale). She was terrible and had no idea what was going on. She forces you to do unnecessary, extra testing, probably just for the bottom line. Save yourself the time and hassle and just find a competent doctor. She was very rude and abrasive. Almost anyone will be better. I will not be returning.
Do not go-- you will be wasting your time. She adds wrong diagnoses and performs unnecessary testing to increase the bill to your insurance. She is not competent and does not care about her patients. The worst doctor I've visited in my lifetime.
I called in advance to confirm Fuhrman took straight Medicaid, which was confirmed by whomever answered her office phone, appt scheduled. I took the 1 1/2 hour subway trip and was promptly told by the snooty woman at the desk Furhman does not take straight Medicaid and we won't accept your Medicaid # anyway, without a card. NY St of Health says all docs are required to accept the number, as it can be confirmed. Fuhrman may be great, but her support staff is THE PITs. Another failure!@!!
