In the last couple of years my families appointments have been cancelled (usually on the day of appointments) with no explanation other than the doctor is taking time off. And no resolution other than booking an appointment in 2-3 months. The office staff is rude, they do not return phone calls when a message is left and when you call again asking for the same information they forward you to the same voice mail you left a message on three weeks ago. Lahey Hospital should drop this doctor and her staff from their practice. For ten years I had the pleasure of working along side many of talented and compassionate healthcare providers at the Lahey-Burlington emergency room. Dr. Templer does not promote Lahey excellence. She and her staff were rude and unprofessional. So much so that I walked out during my appointment. I would rather drive into Burlington, MA than settle for inadequate healthcare.
I have been a patient of Dr. Templer for many years. She has never been particularly compassionate or accommodating, but at least she would show up for work and order routine blood and other tests. As I am not a sickly person, on most occasions I can wait, so it was ok. Recently, I was in a car accident and was in pain. I went to this office to begin a healthcare journey after a few years of not seeing a doctor. I mentioned I had recently experienced a deep personal loss of "my son" who is my cat. She called my reaction "extreme" told me to get a new kitten, and asked me not to call him my son as it offends "mothers". I was completely invalidated and told to "go outside" for my depression and when I am sad to "think of all the people who have real problems". Kind gentle caring Lady. She is smart and spends time with you.
I have been going to Dr. Templer now for over 10 years. I feel that as well as having her as my doctor, I look at her as a friend. She comes through for me, and is always there when I need her. She and her staff have a nice way of making me feel comfortable and among friends when I am there. I would recommend her to anyone.
Very thorough and efficient. Dr. Templar follows through carefully and is always willing to answer questions and have discussions about her diagnosis and recommendations. Clinical and professional.
I have been going to Dr. Templar for a number of years now. When she enters the room, she is all business trying to understand what is going on or not with you. Once she has done that, I love seeing her relax and smile - I know that I am about to get a good report! I recently had to get a diagnostic mammogram, she was diligent following up with me and making sure I had the information from the report and made sure I didn't have any other questions.
As a patient of Dr Templer for 6 years, I have found her to be a very caring and informed professional. She takes the time to listen and get to the root of any health issue you may have and also follows up. I would highly recommend Dr Templer as a primary care giver.
