I've been going to Dr. Holmer for years, but I'm looking for a new doctor. I always feel rushed with her, and once she even chastised me when I brought up a concern at the end of my visit, saying, "You really needed to say you were going to ask about that when you made the appointment." Dr. Holmer is very knowledgeable and kind. She always takes the time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions. Anytime a new diagnosis arises, she explains everything thoroughly. I've been going to her for 23 years now, and have to say she is the best primary care physician I've ever had!!
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE provider ! Nasty rude and refuses to follow science for sone scam she read in a some paper that was never peer reviewed !!
Dr. Holmer was very competent. She spent an adequate amount of time listening to and addressing my current problems. She felt that resolving the issue of lowering my Cholesterol level and Triglyceride level was of paramount importance. I agreed. The office staff was very friendly and professional. The woman who took my vitals and drew my blood was an angel. She could draw blood for necessary labs with accuracy and finesse. The waiting room could have used a little cleaning.
I like Dr. Holmer. She tries very hard not to leave you waiting. Typically I'm in the waiting room about 3-7 minutes, then back in the patient room. After the nurse leaves its about another 6 to 10 minutes till the doctor comes. However, twice in 8 weeks I have been left on hold on the phone for OVER 20 minutes.
I never feel rushed. She takes the time to understand what I’m saying. Dr. Holmer also takes the time to make certain I understand everything. I also appreciate that her “go to” isn’t to throw medication at the problem yet if needed it’s certainly an option.
Dr. Holmer, is thorough, kind and intelligent. I love having her for a primary care physician!
Wait time was minimal about 5 to 7 minutes in the waiting area. Staff seemed friendly. My appt wasat 2pm but after being taken to the exam room within 5 min of arriving I waited another 5 min for the Patient Assistant to come in & take my vitals and then another 15 min before I actually saw Dr Holmer. She was friendly and asked questions about my health and explained information to me in a way I could understand without having to ask more questions.
Very unlikely to recommend Dr Holmer and especially her office staff. Unfortunately my family has been going there for years. The staff professionalism has declined a great deal and the doctor seems unhappy with helping in any way.
