After suffering with jaw pain for a long time, I decided to evaluate surgical treatment. My initial meeting with Dr. Proothi was pleasant but it was downhill from there. There was conflicting and confusing information given (recommending surgery at one appointment and then showing reluctance at the next). The fees at this office are very expensive and I was made to feel bad about trying to evaluate insurance coverage. Proothi's office does not accept any medical insurance so if you need a surgery, be prepared to pay a pretty penny. They take it upon themselves to deteremine what they feel you should pay and what your maximums should be.
Everyone in the office is welcoming. When you meet Dr.Proothi, his attitude is warm, friendly, and professional. He understood our problem and at the end of his exam, explained the options to us. We left their feeling so relieved and well treated. We urge you to use him, he is truly one in a million.
Every office staff member was friendly and professional. Dr Proothi explained everything and welcomed any questions that I had. Being a medical professional myself, I was extremely confident that I was receiving the best of care.
I found Proothi to be arrogant and deceitful. My child's treatment was complex and I didn't feel as though the proper level of care and attention was provided - decisions felt flippant. Their billing practices are also questionable in my opinion.
I had been miserable for years until I met Dr Proothi. His staff was friendly and helpful from the very first phone call and his attitude has always been to put me and my care first no matter what. His bedside manner is excellent and his attention to my case are unlike any doctor I've had experiences with. His practice manager Jenna, is the same way. I couldn't recommend Dr Proothi's team enough!
He is truly, “caring and compassionate”, “skilled and has a wonderfully warm personality”. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. He helped me end 3 years of pain, when all the others gave up, he did not. He listened.... rare to find a Dr. nowadays. Best OMFS I have ever had the honor of meeting. tf NY
Dr. Proothi is exactly the confident smart surgeon I expected to have take care of my daughter's wisdom teeth extraction, but what truly won her over was his wonderfully warm personality. He took his time and explained everything clearly even calling me at home to make sure I was comfortable with the treatment plan. I am so happy we have found him, that I myself became a patient of his.
Amazing experience. I was referred to Dr Proothi by a physician friend of mine. I traveled all the way from the City just for his care. And I'm happy I did. My recovery from maximadibular advancement surgery was light years better then that experienced by others treated elsewhere. 5 Stars from me, and I can usually find something to complain about. Both in the office and in the hospital setting he was amazing. You can tell a lot about a Doctor by their staff, who are also amazing
