Brought our baby into the Abington ER out of concern he was having an allergic reaction. It was clear Dr. Nelson didn’t specialize in pediatrics - when he finally made it to our patient room (an hour later?), he seemed tepid and unsure around an infant, provided no conclusive diagnosis and ultimately deferring us to a pediatric specialist who was slightly more helpful. Nevertheless, he billed $504 for 15 minutes of futile effort - certainly did not provide $504 worth of value in any sense.
Noted I was in pain, gave pain medication, then discharged with no diagnosis and no medication. Absolutely no help.
