I postponed a visit for three months for my husband to see Dr. Bowman rather than his PA. When we arrived, the appointment was with the PA. I explained that the appointment was made specifically with Dr. Bowman. He did come in to see my husband. He is arrogant, rude and dismissive. We will not be returning to that practice.
Dr Bowman saw me onetime .His examination was thorough .However when he asked my age which is 85 I asked him how old are you ? .He refused to answer my reasonable question . He looks like Bernie Saunders twin brother .I felt insulted by his refusal to respond . Apparently he is sensitive about his his age . Too bad otherwise he seems capable . He needs to have further instruction about his bedside manner .
This was singlehandedly the worst medical experience I've ever had. I've had chronic headaches for the past two years and truly wasted a year of my time and money meeting with Dr. Bowman. All he did every time we met was give me different medications that would drastically alter my body weight and mood. When I brought up the idea of doing an MRI on my spine after an MRI on my brain, he shot down the idea. Dr. Bowman is a man of few words... BUT that does NOT make him a non-caring Doctor. Dr. Bowman is my attending when I have to be hospitalized after outpatient IV interventions fail to arrest my Cluster Headaches, which is about every two years. He is the one who discovered that I was seizing at the point right before a Cluster Headache was about to strike (episodic ones over and over in a single day). Terrible terrible office staff. Never actually got to see Dr Bowman after 3 months of cancellations, "computer problems", etc. Seriously do not waste your time!!!
This place is a factory. I waited over an hour for my appt.without a single apology for the extreme delay. He then took a phone call in the middle of meeting with me!. I've had a series of migraine like headaches over three months, and he simply wrote a prescription for a preventative medicine with very intense side effects that he brushed off and barely dented the surface to explain. I found them all on my own. I went to my chiropractor and my headaches are gone. I am very unimpressed.
He gave me a possible diagnosis in less than 5 minutes that I have been searching for for over 30 years. I have tests and follow up appointments .
