Dr. Young is brilliant, with a calm yet direct demeanor. He provides clear, intelligent, research-based information backed by science. I appreciate his knowledge and expertise. The negative reviews on here seem to reflect more about the individuals posting them than about him as an expert in his field. I can understand how some may interpret Dr. Young’s bedside manner as blunt, but given the seriousness of life-threatening allergies, his approach is entirely appropriate.
After just one appointment I am so deeply impressed with Dr.Young. I have never had a doctor ask such in depth questions to try and understand my symptoms. In just one sitting he identified my problems, addressed possible causes, recommended diagnostics and set a treatment plan. An absolutely fantastic job from both him and his lovely team
Was 10 minutes late for an allergy shock (traffic) was awful. Was told I was too late and they would not take my daughter. Made zero sense as they spent longer arguing with me. I should make this clear it was Dr Young’s decision, but the nurse and receptionist did seem very empathetic. But we cancelled all future treatment.
I made an appointment to get allergy testing done after several allergic reactions back in April and years of very reactive skin. I waited 7 months to get in and had an AWFUL experience. Dr. Young was extremely rude and condescending. Each time he asked me a question he interrupted me and made me feel stupid. I told him I had done an at home sensitivity test that was recommended at my PCPs office. He told me it was a waste of money because I’m just overthinking and have no allergies. I’m not sure why he has 5 stars. But I would give him zero stars if it was an option. First of all he was 35 min late for an appointment for my one year old. If you have a one year old you know they are only patient for so long and the appointment is long to begin with so being 35 min late is unacceptable. Then he never even acknowledged my son and said hi, pretty sure he shouldn’t be a pediatric allergist if he doesn’t like little kids.
