Well worth the wait!! Some of the previous reviews are not what we experienced and I feel that those patients were mad about something else. I am an RN and I was very impressed with Dr Schiono. This is the first time I met him. We did have to wait a long time, but he spent a lot of time with us, which explains why we had to wait. He took the time to meet with my family member and the family in a conference room to discuss her ilness, her signs and symptoms, and let us ask questions. He was apologetic about the wait and had a... read more

Dr. Schiano is the only certified oncologist in the state of WV. If you have to wait a while to get in it is by far worth it to make sure you are getting the correct care for your cancer. This doctor assisted on my surgery in the hospital, and was very knowledgeable and helpful with my very complex case. I don't mind waiting for a great doctor who knows what he is doing. Their are so many women dependent on this doctor that yes you will wait ~trust me it is worth your time if it saves your life!!! The negative comments below... read more

Some of these comments are unfair , This doctor has done 4 surgerys on me ,And saved my life as well as many other people , I praise him for the great work that he does,he has held my hand each time talking to me and you can tell that he really cares about people, and has answered my questions each time I have asked him anything, some people just need to learn to wait in line , If I went to a doctor and didnt have to wait , I would wonder why he wasnt busy.Dr.Schiano is a great doctor and yes the great ones will always be in... read more

Was kept waiting 2 hours and 20 minutes. First hr in waiting room, then next hour & 20 mihutes in a conference room. When I expressed concern, he proceeded to tell me how important he was. 10 minutes into conversation he said he was scheduling me for surgery(before exam). One nurse did apologize for the wait-however said it is always like this. I asked even for patients who have been diagnosed with cancer? and she said unfortunately yes. Sent for 14 blood tests (all came back great). I am concerned in case I do have cancer, ... read more

It is a shame that when faced with a serious illness that you have to come in contact with such a pitiful excuse for a doctor. He is arrogant, inconciderate and above all thinks he is GOD! He is late (hours) for appointments and his rude staff doesn't even bother to make excuses for him nor do they offer any explanations for his tardiness. He belittles not only patients but also other doctors. I will gladly travel out of the area to be treated by a real professional rather than see this person again. I hope others know that ... read more

This doctor is terrible. My aunt went for treatment for endometrial cancer. He is arrogant, his staff is rude and he has no compassion for the sick. We ended up going to Charlottesville. They are awesome

I have not met this man personally, but my sister saw him. He does NOT pass on info regarding your condition easily enabling you to explore other options. I would drive for miles to see another doctor
