Dr. Shah helped my athletic son tremendously and was considerate and explained the issues in a thoughtful intelligent manner. Would not hesitate to refer him to others!
Spent time and money for a visit with Dr Shah about my knee pain. They took an X-ray, but I was dismissed for my pain saying it was osteoarthritis. Told me to stop my favorite workouts. I definitely felt it was a tear. They prescribed knee physical therapy, and the PT told me I have a meniscus tear, I will heal, and be able to do my workouts soon.
I had a frustrating experience regarding my shoulder pain. After an initial consultation, he ordered X-rays but couldn't diagnose the issue. He sent me for a second set of X-rays, and still no answers. Ultimately, I was referred to a colleague, leaving me with unresolved pain, a half day off work, and a hefty $450 bill for the X-rays. I expected more clarity and help. Very disappointed!
I had an excellent experience with Dr. Mehul. After struggling with knee pain, I visited him for an evaluation, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. As per what are the words of Doctor Shah on his NYU profile "I specialize in sports related injuries as well as arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee, shoulder and ankle." I went to explore options for my ankle issues. He responded probably ankle reconstruction would be needed. Then he proceeded to tell me he doesn't do that surgery as that would be very complicated.
