Dr. Makhani is by far the worst doctor we have ever had the displeasure to deal with. Our son was hospitalized with a manic episode. The doctor was unwilling to hear any background, wouldn’t return phone calls, showed up for only minutes a day, and showed no interest in actually knowing his patient. He further prescribed a long acting (30 day) injection of Haldol after our son was on the daily dose for only 2 days. Dr. Mekhani is 100% horrible!! Cold and rude. I'm convinced he's in the psychiatry business for the money; he's shown me he doesn't care about the very real mental health issues I've struggled with for 25 years. The latest HARM he's done to me is not refilling a prescription for Ambien, though I've needed it to sleep, especially during this pandemic. I spoke to him 3 weeks ago and he made NO mention of removing the medication from regimen of medications. I ran out of Ambien 3 days ago. The pharmacy made 2 attemts to contact ... read more
Worse ever I ask questions about my medication refills he got so upset as if to say who am I to question him or his decision as I pushed to get my situation resolved he hung up on me. Horrible, demeaning, rude, condescending. Feeling suicidal? Not yet, talk to this guy and you will be worse off.
Diagnosed after speaking with patient for two or three minutes. Discharged patient from a mental hospital without even speaking to patient prior to deciding on discharge on that same day.
This incompetent excuse of a doctor misdiagnosed me with schizophrenia in 2009 while hospitalized. He over prescribed me haldol in which I had a severe allergic reaction that caused irreversible akathisia which has now been a slow death sentence. I am completely disabled And bedridden now permanently.
I wonder how many patients have made suicide attempts after having him as their psychiatrist?
