I am a pediatrician who treats children ranging from newborns through adolescents. Ive been at Duke for over 10 years. I believe in involving the family during each visit. At well child visits I listen to the childs parents so I can learn about the familys concerns about their childs health both now and as the child grows. For a sick visit I try to educate the family on whats going on and answer their questions before doing what I can to help the child get healthy. Dr Slowik has been our pediatrician since my son was out of his 5 month NICU stay. He had tons of complications and she has been so wonderful with our journey! I have had two more kids and we love to visit her! She even pops in to see us if we had to schedule with a different provider! Definitely recommend!
