Something just didn't feet right about his pushing me into joint replacement surgery. So I checked with another surgeon who was rated highly and sure enough, I did not need surgery yet, we would start with shots and maybe clean up the meniscus in the knee later if needed. GET A SECOND OPINION.
i had a total knee replacement done in dec of 2019 was very happy with the results i had a right knee replaccment done march 10th of 2020 i cant say enough good things about this dr he had flowers at the hospital both times for me prior to surgery what a lovely thing to do !!! i would highly recommend him for anyone wanting ortho surgery hes the best !!!! :)
I have never met a more rude person. Unwilling to spend any time with my wife, the patient. She asked him to answer a question and he actually said no and walked out. We were in shock.
i had left knee replacement surgery on dec 10th 2019 at grandview dr heckler is a excellent dr i would recommend him to anyone wanting to have a ortho surgery? i need a right knee replacement done also asap i plan on having him do that one also iam very happy with the results !! hes the best ortho dr i have been too :)
Dr. Heckler was great. Had an extensive tibia break. Surgery went very well. Dr Heckler easy to work with, gave realistic view of recovery, communicates very well, he’s practical, thorough and no nonsense.

Heckler seems knowledgeable, but he did a TOTAL HACK JOB on my hip! He put in too large of a prosthetic which lengthened my leg. I have to wear a lift in my shoe now. I have a lot of pain from all of my muscles, tendons and IT band being stretched, my leg will collapse at times. He has totally blown this off. My experience at Grandview hospital was nothing short of a nightmare, beginning in pre-op and throughout my 4 day stay there never again! Do yourself a HUGE favor and run the other way

He was the most wonderful caring Doctor I ever had! I came from out of state to have him do my hip surgery. He is awesome!
