After being diagnosed with a squamish cell carcinoma on my hand i was booked with Dr Swalstad for removal and reconstruction surgery. Super angry that at no point did anyone tell me how horrifically painful the process would be. How after six months I still wouldn’t be able to do yoga, kayak, or even sign my name. That after 6 months My hand would burn like someone holding a cigarette on it 24 hrs a day.
