I did not have a positive experience with the doctor or his staff. I would not recommend his services.
He does not explain things well and if there are any complications (a seroma) he will try to tell you it is a pocket of fat, even if you can clearly push the fluid around. This “pocket of fat” only appeared after my JP was pulled. Now I need a second surgery after paying 10,500 for the first one. He talks down to you and is also rude to his own staff and treats them very poorly.
After being diagnosed with a squamish cell carcinoma on my hand i was booked with Dr Swalstad for removal and reconstruction surgery. Super angry that at no point did anyone tell me how horrifically painful the process would be. How after six months I still wouldn’t be able to do yoga, kayak, or even sign my name. That after 6 months My hand would burn like someone holding a cigarette on it 24 hrs a day. Bad bedside manner, you can’t say that you don’t like the way anything turned out because he right away says it’s your fault. I paid over 15k for nothing my implants are saggy and my tummy tuck he did makes me look 3-4 months pregnant in any legging I wear. Definitely would never return. Please investigate and consult more than one doctor before getting any kind of plastic surgery

I came to Dr. Swelstad after my bilateral mastectomy. I have seen his partner in the past for some sinus issues. I immediately felt comfortable knowing he was in the same office. Dr. Swelstad and his PA, Tammy, were absolutely great! He did a great job making sure all my questions were answered, and all my concerns we addressed. I love Dr Swelstad and his staff! He worked wonders on my train wreck of a chest! I was a little hesitant at first because he suggested doing a lift and three months later implants, the man KNOWS what he is doing and I am so pleased!
